Pentre Bach Bunkhouse and Campsite access statement is based on a 2 ½ acre site with joint toilet and showering facilities..
Bunkhouse access statement
Access to the barn is from the courtyard / parking area. Luggage can be unloaded outside the barn.
The parking area is slightly sloping with an uneven surface, provides amble room for eight cars or four minibuses.
A concrete access slope leads to the barn entrance. This allows wheelchair access.
Ground Floor
This is used for storage of luggage, sitting / dinning area on large picnic style benches sitting up to 8 persons on each.
Cooking facilities based on standard work top; 2 electric hobs, 2 kettles, a combination microwave and toaster.
Light switches and power points at a sensible height.
Second Floor
This is accessed by a wooden staircase with a handrail or access to grab points.

Sleeping is split into 2 five person platforms, 1 four person, and 2 single platforms. Each space if provided with a mattress and has storage below for baggage.
It is possible to move bedding to the ground floor for those unable to gain access to the second floor although this would entail putting a mattress on the floor.
Campsite access statement
Parking is available either in the main courtyard, which is 30 meters from the camping field on a slightly uneven paved path or in parking bays beside the field.
Parking is not allowed in the camping field.
The camping field is on a slight slope running from the top end down to the drive.
Toilet and shower blocks are accessed from the top of the field.
The field is enclosed by a head high stone wall on one side and wire fence around the rest. Two metal gates provide access.
Shower Block
This block is shared by the bunkhouse and campsite.
Access is through a narrow fenced area. Wheelchair access would not be possible.
A small step (2 inches) leads into the shower block.
The block has two unisex shower rooms. It is possible to put a chair in the shower room.
Toilet Block
We have 2 toilet blocks. One at the top of the field holds 2 Compost toilets. One has a wide entrance the other is narrow both are low in height for entering but provides able standing room once inside.
The second block is shared by the bunkhouse and campsite.
Two unisex toilets with wash hand basins and a chair are provided.
Wheelchair access would not be possible through these narrow doors.
A dish washing area is also available in this block.
General Points
Mobile phone coverage is dependant on supplier ( Vodafone, EE, Orange work well).
Telephone numbers for local taxis services, Doctor, Vet, 24 hour emergency are displayed in the Toilet Block.
The owners live on site in the main house and if in are happy to help or offer advice.
There is a local bus service, which will drop off and pick up at the entrance to our driveway. This is 200 meters from the Bunkhouse and Campsite.
There are two water points; one at the end of the Bunkhouse, the other in the Toilet block next to the washing up area.
