We are fortunate to be close to 2 long distance trials. The North Wales Pilgrim’s Way and the Snowdonia Slate Trail.
The North Wales Pilgrim’s Way is a 133-140 mile long distance walking route. Starting from Holywell it passes ancient churches, holy wells, stone circles and historic pilgrimage sites. Travelling all the way across North Wales then down the Llyn Peninsular to Bardsey Island.
The Snowdonia Slate Trail is a 83 mile route starting from Bangor. Passing through many of the history slate quarries and villages which housed the local work forces .
If you are looking for somewhere to stay having completed the Llanberis – Waunfawr stage prior to continuing to Fron & Nantlle, we can offer you a bed in our self catering bunkhouse or a tent pitch on our camping field.
Need to to buy supplies for the night before you arrive go visit the local shop in the middle of Waunfawr. You’ll find it has a good stock of supplies.
Caffi Blas y Waun is a great little cafe for a brew run by Antur Waunfawr.
Alternatively the local pub ‘Snowdonia Parc Inn’ provides food and a great real ale choice (unfortunately closed on Monday & Tuesdays).
Bunkhouse beds £22 per person.
Campsite £14 per person, extra adult £10 pp.
Dogs are welcome on request – cost £2pn per dog (maximum 2 dogs).
